The Dynamics NAV and Business Central community, including the 蜂巢电子竞技(内蒙)决赛联赛 technical staff, is made up of developers, project managers, and consultants who are constantly communicating, with the common goal of sharing helpful information with one another to help customers be more successful.
As they run into issues and questions, find the answers, and make new discoveries, they post them on blogs, forums, social media…so everyone can benefit. We in Marketing watch these interactions and never cease to be amazed by the creativity, dedication, and brainpower we’re so fortunate to have in this community—so we thought, wouldn’t it be great to share this great information with everyone who might not have the time to check out the multitude of resources out there?
So, the 蜂巢电子竞技(内蒙)决赛联赛 Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC Developer Digest was born. Each week, we present a collection of thoughts and findings from NAV/BC experts and devotees around the world. We hope these insights will benefit you, too.
Administrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online
Andrey Baludin has a new book, Administrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online , available in Kindle and paperback versions on Amazon. This hands-on guide is for admins, developers, and consultants who manage BC SaaS environments and contains setting up migration from an on-premises environment, planning for future releases, analyzing telemetry, understanding tenant capacity limits and their usage of resources, automating processes with APIs, and much more.
Multiple Active Results Sets Causing SQL Locks
Marije Brummel addresses a native feature of SQL Server, Multiple Active Results Sets. In Business Central, the need for memory for transactions was handled by SQL Cursors. When working with datasets using AL, you’ll want to have an understanding of Multiple Active Results Sets and the possibility of MARS causing locks on SQL Server . Marije advises the best fix to this potential issue is creating short (not long-running) transactions and ensure you have good indexes. She follows up with another post about Closing the Datasets , with a third and final installation in this saga coming soon.
